Anna Jane White Bacot

Anna Jane White Bacot was the son of Peter Samuel Bacot (1810-1864) and Anna Jane White (1814-1847). He was named for his mother, who died from the birth, and was called "Janey" or "Ajax".

Anna Jane White "Janey" Bacot m. Emma Eliza McCall on 12/02/1878 and they had 4 children.

He left home at 15, along with his brother Tours Loire Bacot, and served as a scout, first with the Stono Scouts at Adam's Run and later under Generals Hampton Wheeler and Joseph E. Johnson.
