About Anna Kotz Savetman
SAMUEL-NOSON, age 22 and son of ISER SERVETMAN, was married to CHANA SANOVNA KOTZ, age 23, in Bialystok in 1899. Their marriage registration, written in Russian, showed that they were married on October 12 Julian-calendar, which would correspond to Oct 24 Gregorian/Western style. There was a ketuba and a payment of 60 rubles. The groom was legally resident of the town of Ciechanowiec, but Chana's town isn't clear-- could be Tykocin? (Tykotskin in Russian). A copy of the registration is posted here, also downloaded directly from the Polish State Archives. Their full formal names in Polish as transcribed on the JRI-Poland database were SAMUIL NOSEN ISEROWICZ [=son of Iser] SERWETMAN and CHANA SANOWNA [=daughter of San? Sinai? ] KOTC.
