About Anna Lepak
It is likely that Anna never came to the USA and I have not been able to determine which Auburn area Behuniak families she was related to. Austrian troops sometimes searched households during WWI, in some cases looking for enemy collaborators. The story is that troops were seen coming to the home of Anna and John Lepak. John and any children (including Antoinette) were sent into the surrounding areas to hide. Anna did not survive and was killed either by explosion or some other weapon. This story was handed down from Antoinette Lepak.
