About Anna Maria Dorothea Lau Punsch
Anna Maria and her brother, Frederick Lau ("Fritz") landed in Brooklyn on October 30, 1892. She went directly to Richmond, Indiana to live with cousins and she began teaching French and German at the Wilke Art School. Wilke Art School was in the old High Point Hotel in Glen Miller Park and was run by Mrs. Jeanne Westcott Wilke. Became a citizen June 10, 1938. Fritz returned to Germany.
She married in 1894, had two children and the family moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1914. Both children were born in Richmond IN in Wayne County.
