Obituary Mrs. Anna Grommes, 87, Dies at Home
"Mrs. Anna Grommes, 87, died last night at her home, 615 Columbia Street. She was born in Stolzenburg, Luxemburg, July 24, 1852.
Surviving are five children, Nicholas A. and Frank J. of Aurora, John of Warrenville, William of St. Charles, and Henry of Beloit; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Pisen of Joliet, Mrs. Mary Wagner and Mrs. Margaret Abhalter of Aurora; 34 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Katherine Hettinger of North Aurora died a week ago today.
Mrs. Grommes was a member of St. Cecelia court No. 136, Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, and St. Anne's society of St. Nicholas church. Funeral services will be held from the Daleiden chapel at 9:15 o'clock Monday morning and from St. Nicholas church at 9:30 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Nicholas cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel."
