Mr. Ira L. Brunk, Attorney at Law, 614 Exchange Bldg., Los Angeles, Calif.

Dear Sir,

Your favor at hand inquiring about estate of Edward J. Page late of Juniata in this county.
Mr. Page died about one year ago at Sunnyside, an institution for the care of old people, in this city. All the property which he had had been placed in the name of his wife years ago so that he left nothing, apparently. No probate was ever had of any will, nor was there any administration of his estate. His widow is still a resident of Sunnyside.
Unless client knows of some things which contradict our information and desires further investigation, we are

Yours very truly,

TIBBETS, MOREY, FULLER & TIBBETS, By C. F. Morey.

Letter written to Mrs. H. P. Hall by Robert Arthur Shook (retyped and edited)

Platner, Colo. Jan. 27th 1941 Mrs. Caroline Hall, San Diego, Calif.

Dear Niece:

Here is what I know: Your Grandfather Page, your Mother's Father, had married an aunt of mine. My mother's sister who lived in Fayett[e] County, Iowa, some 250 miles away from where we lived in Iowa. We got this word by letter. Shortly after they came to where we lived and bought a 100-acre improved farm adjoining our dad's farm. Aunt had been a war widow and had no children. Page and his former wife (or your grandmother) had parted and they had 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls, in the separation Page got the 2 youngest children, which was Etta and Fred. When they settled near us Fred was about 10 and Etta about 12-13 years old and the 2 that stayed with their mother who lived in northern Iowa were older, the boy name was Edwin.
