About Anna Salko
From Hazleton Standard-Speaker of March 31, 1980: Mrs. Anna Salko, 83, a former resident of Coxeville, died at 8:45 am Sunday at Weatherwood the Carbon County Home for the Aged, Weatherly, where she had been a guest for the past five and one half years. Born in Junedale, she was a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Antoshka (Cefcik) O'Hazzo. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul's Byzantine Catholic Church, Beaver Meadows, and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew in 1975, sons, Andrew, William and Robert, a granddaughter Berry Salko and the following brothers and sister, Gregory, Michael, Wasil, John and Tekla O'Hazzo. Surviving are two sons, Joseph, Mifflinville, the Rev. John Salko, pastor of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Scottdale, 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., Second Street entrance, with Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial at 10 o'clock in Ss. Peter and Paul's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday and parastas will be conducted at 8 o'clock.
