BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Anne Mayo, daughter of John Mayo and Jane Sherring, was baptized in Frome St. Quintin, Dorset, England, on February 15th., 1761. Anne Mayo, married, by licence, at Cattistock, on February 11th., 1789 (Dorset Marriage Index), Sydnam Burgh or Burch or Birch of Batcombe; they lived in Sydling St. Nicholas and, later, in Chilfrome. Ann Birch, received some benefits from the estate of her late older brother, William Mayo, from his 1837 bequests. Sydenham was buried on May 5th., 1832 in Holy Trinity, Chilfrome, Dorset; Ann was buried there on April 14th., 1843. Sydenham and Anne had issue.
