Anne Curwen

SIR CHRISTOPHER CURWEN, living 1492, knighted in Scotland by the Eari of Northumberiand 20 Edward, 1480-1 : married ist, Ann, daughter of Sir John Pen- gton.of Muncaster, and had 6 sons and 4 daughters.

• 4. Robert, of Workington, merchant,
• 5. Edward.
• 6. George.
• 7. Elizabeth, married to Nicholas Ridley, of Willimonds- cke, Northumberiand, whose son, Christopher, married Miss Heron, and had a son, Nicholas, " the martyr," bishop of London.
• 8. Mabel, married to William Sandford, of Askham.
• 9. Margaret, married to William Curwen, of Camerton.
• 10. Janet, married to John Salkeld, of Pardsey.

Christopher Curwen married 2ndly, Katherine, widow of Thomas Salkeld, daughter and heir of Richard Salkeld, of Roysgill, and had a daughter, [II] Isabella, married (dispensation 9 July, 1492) to Sir John Lamplugh, of Lamplugh.

Christopher married Anne PENNINGTON, daughter of John (Esq) PENNINGTON and Elizabeth DE RADCLIFFE, in 1459. (Anne PENNINGTON was born about 1428.)

???? I have an ancestor, Sir christopher Curwen (d. 1499), who married an Anne Pennington, d/o Sir Roger Pennington.
