Anne Greene

Anne Arthington was the daughter of Henry Arthingon and his wife, Maude, the daughter of Richard Goldesborough of Goldesborough. [1]

She married firstly to Allen Catheral of Rathmell in Craven, Yorkshire, and they had a son,

1. William, who was living in 1585. [2]

After Allen died, she married John Green of Horsforth,[3]and they had issue:

1. Gabriel, m. Alice, dau. of Thomas Lister of Westby
2. Martin
3. Anthony
4. Jane, m. Edward Bolling, of Chelley
5. Elizaabeth, m. Robert Clough, attorney

Notes

The Glover pedigree, signed by Gabriel, shows Jane wife of Edward Bolling as his sister not his daughter.

Gabriel Greene of Horsforth signed his own pedigree at Glover's Visitation in 1585. Foster's edition is transcribed below (note that Foster usually standardized spellings) Skyrack.
