Email from Paul Penn-Simkins, 3 May 2009: Dear Sir Having found your web site I would like to amend some info regarding Thomas Laidman Hodgson. He married two sisters, Ann and Elizabeth Forster, daughters of Samuel Forster, a wealthy Draper of Darlington, Durham. Another sister Mary Forster married a Mr Bousfield and was Grandmother to Laidman Bousfield, which may indicate that there was a connection between the Forster and Laidman families of Darlington. Samuel Forster married at Easingwold, Yorkshire in 1785, Miss Mary Bland. I descend from her eldest sister, Ann Bland, wife of Thomas Jackson, Butter Factor and Gent. of Easingwold, Yorkshire.
