About Anne Nielsdatter RingnesEie Nottestad
Anne was born at a cottage under Ringnes farm. The family was poor. When she married Ole Olsen Nottestad 25th of November 1853 in Ottestad church she was probably a maid at Gulkunrud farm. She had recently given birth to their son Ole. Between the couple was a social gap that perhaps made it difficult to stay in Norway. She was of cotter / crofter ancestors, while he was a farmers son.
