About Anne Offley
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jhmjr&id=... : Name is also spelled Clitherow, Cletherow, Clyderowe, etc. Ann was named as a sister of Sir Christopher Cletherow, Lord Mayor of London, in the latter's will dated Apr 14, 1640. As the wife of Thomas Offley she lived part of her married life in Elbing, Prussia, and three of her children (Francis, Anne and Bridget) were born in Prussia between 1611 and 1630. The family returned to England prior to the death of Thomas Offley in 1630. The three children who were born on foreign soil were naturalized in London July 9, 1631. Anne administered the estate of her son, Thomas in London on Dec 12, 1627. He was a bachelor who died overseas. Her husband's property given to him by "Gustofle Adolph King of the Swethes Goths and Vandalls ... as by one deed done and written in the leaguer before duscaw (Dirschau, Prussia) the sixteenth day of August 1626," evolved to their son Christopher Offley of London, who in turn deeded the land to his brother, Francis Offley, in a deed dated Mar 12, 1643. From "Genealogical History of Our Ancestors" by Rutherford, 1977.
