She was the daughter of Brigadier John Gerhard Edward Tiarks and Evelyn Florence Cripps.4
She married Major Peter William Garside Phillips, son of Joseph Herbert Phillips and Dorothea Mary Land,
on 17 December 1946.1
She died on 25 July 1988 at age 62 at Southmead Hospital, Bristol, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.5
From 17 December 1946, her married name became Phillips.1
