First Marriage

According to John H. Stevenson, Anne Stuart here treated married Alexander Macdonald of Sanda. The Scots Peerage II: 296 The Source of his information was Wood's edition of Robert Douglas's Peerage of Scotland. The Peerage of Scotland: 110

It now appears, however, that Robert Douglas was wrong, Anne Stuart here treated did not marry Alexander Macdonalda of Sanda. She did in fact marry Ranald Macdonald of Sanda. The marriage contract was signed on 3 October 1671 NRS: GD92/12A and two days later her husband made provision for her liferent. NRS: GD92/13

Second Marriage

Following the death of her first husband, Anne Stuart here treated married Walter Campbell of Skipness. The Scots Peerage II: 296 The marriage contract was signed on 17 January 1681. NRS: GD92/66 Her husband made provision for her liferent on 23 September 1682. NRS: GD92/79
