ID: I186 Name: Alice Josephine NISBET Sex: F Birth: 26 NOV 1916 in Bronx, NY Death: 29 JUN 1992 in San Jose, CA Burial: 2 JUL 1992 Santa Clara Mission Cemetery Occupation: Housewife Education: High School Graduate Religion: Roman Catholic Note: Birth Record #14950 Note: Note: TWINS BORN SUNDAY Note: Note:
Two baby girls arrived at 329 E. 241 St., Woodlawn, the home of
Irving L. Nisbet and his wife, Annie T., last Sunday at noon.
One of them did not live. The other is a fine little girl and
while the friends of the Nisbets are sad at their loss, they
wish them all sorts of luck with their new baby.
Note: ==================================================== Note:
Mom graduated from high school. She was an excellent speller,
avid reader and had beautiful handwriting (she was taught the
Palmer Method). When she graduated from high school it was
during the depression and she worked as a domestic.
Note: Note:
Mom was extremely proud of her colonial ancestory and it is too
bad that she did not live to see me with this interest. She
wrote John "Tommy" Saxton that she would like to find out more
about the Lathrops. I can imagine her joy at finding that Rev.
John Lathrop came to the new world in 1630!
Note: Note: 1 HEAL: Was a diabetic (adult onset). She died from a combination of
factors, but most of which were related to her diabetes. She
went into a diabetic coma because she was not eating and the
nurses were giving her too much insulin. We believe that she
was not eating because her kidneys had started to fail. Her
left foot had developed gangrene and was scheduled to be
amputated the following week. About a week after her diabetic
coma, she died of pnemonia when her lungs filled up because her
kidneys had failed. Change Date: 19 SEP 1999
