Annebe Lategan (1982 - 2013)

Brief overview:

The body of Annebe (31), reported missing since Friday 24th May, was found naked, with her head bludegeoned, on May 25th.

She was last seen alive at the intersection of Elsburg Road and Archie Jonas Street. Her naked body was discovered by a passer-by, who reported this to the police.

Sgt Mashudu Phathela, spokesperson for the Reiger Park SAPS, says her head was bloodied and swollen, and he believes she was probably raped, hit by a hard object, and strangled before she was dumped in the area.

Annebe's body was taken to government mortuary for a post-mortem.

No arrests have been made, and detectives are investigating cases of murder.

Nondumiswa Mbuwe (40) found murdered 13th May, naked with multiple stab wounds to the head and stomach. David Makgopa (30) found murdered on 26th May. He was apparently stabbed to death.
