Annie Matilda Hewson (née Reichheld) (July 14, 1882 - December 28, 1971) was the co-owner of the Union Hotel and lived the longest life of her many siblings when she succumbed to an unfortunate hip injury at the age of 89. She is buried in the graveyard of the Knox Presbyterian Church in Jarvis, Ontario.
HEWSON, Anna Matilda - At The St. George Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 28, 1971, Anna Matilda Reichheld of 167 Coronation Ave., beloved wife of the late F. Morgan Hewson, mother of William Earl of Warwick, Rhode Island and Mrs. Charles Hazlett (Ruth) of Hamilton. Sister of Mrs. E. G. Mehlenbacher (Ida) of Fisherville, also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Member of St. John's Presbyterian Church. Resting at J. B. Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main St. E. (East of Sanford Ave.). Service in Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment Knox Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Jarvis. Donations to Retarded Children's Association Hamilton, would be appreciated by the family.
