Annie Turnbull

Annie appears on all census returns but her birth isn't registered; instead, a Betsy Turnbull's birth (with correct parents) is registered on 15 Jan 1864 and then another Betsy Turnbull is registered on 4 June 1877. The most likely explanation is an informal change of name for the first Betsy, to Annie. Annie was a witness at the marriages of her sisters Mary (1903) and Maggie (1887). Annie/Betsy's date of death is from notes made by her brother-in-law, John Wilberforce Bissett.
