Brief overview:

Annika (23), a fourth-year veterinary student at the University of Pretoria se Onderstepoort campus, was strangled in her home in Jan Bandtjies Road, Sinoville, Pretoria on 17th October 2006.

Her naked body was found by her boyfriend, Rainer Eimbeck (32).

The police, including the canine unit of Silverton and the forensic unit, combed the house inside and out for evidence, and also took prints of footprints.

Police spokesperson, Paul Ramaloko, said there was no forced entry to the house.
