About Ansel Frederick Dickerson
Ansel F. Dickerson passed away peacefully on June 19, 2011 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nadyne J. Dickerson; two children Cynthia Conway (Mark) and Alan Dickerson (Cynthia); two grandchildren, Jessica Ann and Courtney Elizabeth; and sister Evalane Harding of Willis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ona Dickerson and his three brothers, John B., Tucker W., and E. Elwood. Ansel was a 58-year member of Masonic Lodge 153 AF&AM having served as Past Worshipful Master. He retired after 34 years of service from Virginia Trailways and had a second retirement from St. Mary's Hospital. Family received friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
