ANTHONY LAMMERS
AUBURN - Anthony 'Tony" Lammers, 88,
of Auburn, died Tuesday.
Nov. 20, 1990. at his residence in
Auburn.
Mass of the Christian burial will
be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24 at
St. Mary's Church in Auburn. The
Rev. Gerald Wingert will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery
at Auburn.
Lector will be LuAnn Reicks. Gift
bearers will be Amanda Lippon and
Ann Schettier. Casket bearers will
be James Birch, Dale Goetzinger,
Brian Goetzinger, Thomas Goet-
zinger, Kevin Sieve and Steve
Brincks.
Mass servers will be Shane King,
Matt Pudenz and Chris Pudenz.
Visitation will be after 2:30 p.m.
Friday at the Sharp Funeral Home
in Carroll. Rosaries will be at 3 p.m.
and 8:15 p.m. Friday. There will be
a Christian wake service at 7:30
p.m. Friday by St. Mary's parish.
Mr. Lammers was born Sept. 19,
1902, at Breda, the son of Gerhard
and Josephine (Schroeder) Lam-
mers. He attended St. Bernard
Schools in Breda.
He married Irene Goetzinger May
2, 1938, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The couple lived in Colorado and in
Glldden before moving to Auburn in
1944.
Mr. Lammers was co-owner of
the Auburn Market and Locker for
many years. He also worked for Al's
Corner Oil Station before retiring in
1975. He and his wife celebrated
their Golden Wedding Anniversary
in 1988.
Mr. Lammers was a member of
St. Mary's parish, where he
belonged to the Holy Name Society,
and a charter member of the
Auburn Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Irene,
of Auburn; a son, Noel Lammers
and his wife, Linda, of Bellevue,
Neb.; daughters, Donna Kay O'Connor
and her husband, Darwin, of
Carroll, Diana Sue Schettier and
her husband, Norman, of Carroll,
and Dori Ann Lippon and her hus-
band, Dennis, of Spirit Lake; 13
grandchildren and one great-grand-
child; a brother, Herman Lammers
and his wife, Genevieve, of West
Union; and sisters-in-law, Esther
Lammers of Newton and Mary Lammers
of San Bernadino, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; a sister, Mayme Heiman,
and brothers,* Joseph, Henry, Gerhard;
Albert, William and two brothers
