Archibald Wilson Hopkins

Archibald ran a store in Hennepin, in partnership with his Uncle George Willis. He was ambitious and had entered considerable government land. While attending Illinois College at Jacksonville, IL. he spent his vacations working at the Willis' Mill (known later as McManis' Mill). Archibald was the first child of William Hopkins and Jane Wilson Willis, died at twenty-seven years of age. His brother, Joel W. Hopkins remembered going to Jacksonville to get his books after his death.
