About Archibald Kennedy Johnson

Seems to have had a far more complex family life than normally reported.

His 1812 marriage to Jenet Robertson, daughter of David Robertson, was reported in the 'Marriage Registers of the Parishes of Williamsburg, Matilda, Osnabruck and Edwardsburg'.

His 1818 marriage to Maria Langan, the second daughter of the late Patrick Langan, was widely reported.

His relationship with Jane Taggart was hinted at in census records for England (where she was identified as Mrs Jane Johnson), but clarified in his Last Will and Testament (see Jersey archives). This gave no indication they were ever married, but named all his children and provided dates of birth.
