About Archibald Stanford
Newspaper article, "Couple Celebrate Long Honeymoon" quotes Archibald as stating, "Before I was a minister I was a fisherman in the summer and a lumberman in winter." At the time of the article (50 years after his marriage date) he was "a retired Church of the Nazarene minister." The article continues, "Mr. Stanford's ministry included service in the Maritime provinces until retirement in 1961. During that time he helped plan and build churches, as well as doing pastoral work." " I met my wife while preaching at Cole harbour, N.S., and shortly after we were married there in 1917."
