About Arliss Lindon Hallman
LEESVILLE - Arliss Lindon Hallman, 81, of Leesville, died Saturday, August 25, 2012. Born on May 21, 1931, in Lexington County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Samuel E. Hallman and Pearl Price Hallman. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Hallman served during the Berlin Crisis, and later served as a jet engine mechanic at McEntire Air National Guard Base for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hallman of Leesville; sons, Lindy (Jettie) Hallman of Columbia and Jimmy (Karis) Hallman of Leesville; daughter, Leila (Bill) Eskew of Leesville; brother, Spencer (Louise) Hallman of Lexington; grandchild, Allyson (Chris) Thrasher of Athens, OH; and great-granchild, Jacob Thrasher, also of Athens, OH. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hallman was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Hallman.
A funeral service for Mr. Hallman will be held at 12 o'clock, Wednesday, August 29th at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Mark Wendland will officiate.
