A lamentable case of suicide has occurred on the Hecla location. A Swede name Aaron Oman, finding the ground harder at the Hecla than where he had previously worked, and being a very small and weakly man, hanged himself from the limb of a tree. He leaves a wife and two children and the prospect of an early addition.
