ARTHUR VERLIN McCLELLAN, 70, of Branchland died Saturday, December 16, 2006, after a short illness. He was born March 23, 1936, at Ranger, W.Va., a son of the late Gallie and Letha McNeely McClellan. Also preceding him in death was his only sibling, a sister Blanchie Marie McClellan Colegrove; one niece, Colleen Toppings and one very special cousin, Howard McNeely. Survivors include his devoted wife and the love of his life of 46 years of marriage, Glenna Hager McClellan; two sons, Ronald McClellan of Summit, Ill., and Verlin, his wife Angie McClellan of Holiday, Fla.; three grandchildren, Rebecca Ann McClellan, Leo Arthur McClellan and Veronica Lynn McClellan, two great-grandchildren, Oz Riley McClellan and Leo Gage McClellan; six nephews, Denver, Charlie, Duke and wife Thelma Colegrove of Branchland, Odel and wife Mary, Willis and wife Judy Colegrove of Ohio and his fishing buddy Jonathan Hager; four nieces, Marie and husband Danny Lambert, Lynn and husband Jimmy of Branchland, Jean and husband Paul Adkins of Barboursville, and Leva and husband Junior Berry of Ohio; a very special niece whom he helped raise, Davonna Hager May; two very special friends Harold and Louise Clay of Branchland; and his sister-in-law, Elesha Hager who was always there for him, and that was very special to him. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, W.Va., with B.J. Wiley officiating. The burial will follow in the Sanders Cemetery, Ranger, W.Va. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
