Arthur McConnell

The year was 1977 when five McConnell brothers arrived in the United States from County Antrim, Irleland. They first settled in Fredrick County, Maryland. They apparently did not stay in maryland for long as they show up on the census in 1800 in Tyrone Township, in Huntington County, Pennsylvania. Records show the brothers names were Francis, John, Arthur, Henry and Hugh. The 1800 census shows Aethur mcConnell as married to Catherine Behe. The census also showed Arthur as being the son of Francis McConnell and Sarah Shields who remained in County Antrim, Ireland. The census aslo showed Arthur and Catherine as the parents of three girls under 10 years of age and three boys under the age of 10. Of these children the ages were right for them to be the parents of Arthur who later married Lucy McMullen. Susan McConnell later married William Litzinger.
