About Arthur Williams Gubisch

Arrived in the U.S. in 1888 at the age of fifteen. It is so far undetermined which port he arrived in or who his parents are. U.S. Census show he enlisted twice in the U.S. Infantry, the first time on June 15, 1894 in Chicago, Illinois. At the end of his tour of duty, he reenlisted at Crook, Nebraska, January 22 1898. During this period he was in the U.S. Infantry (Army) and fought in Spanish American War. And though he remained in the Philippines, he periodically returned to the U.S. to maintain his U.S. Citizenship status.
