About Arturo Fortich
Arturo Fortich was a guerilla fighter during World War II. In the late 1940s, he served as grandmaster of the Dagohoy Lodge No. 84 of the Freemasons. He served as the municipal treasurer of Bohol and Zamboanga del Norte. On March 24, 1970, he and 34 provincial employees filed a libel suit seeking P8.75 million in damages against the Mindanao Observer -- the biggest libel suit ever filed in the Philippines.
