About Arva Deborah Wing Bone
Arva Deborah Wing, daughter of John William Wing (1870 - 1949) and Rachel Evans Wing (1874 - 1962), was born 10 November 1912 at Lehi, Utah County, Utah, the youngest of four children. She married her high school sweetheart and eternal companion, George Isaac Bone (1912 - 1979), in the Salt Lake Temple on 3 June 1936.
Valedictorian of her high school class, Arva received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Brigham Young University. Arva taught for 32 years before retiring from the Alpine School District and always loved children. She often had a mischievous twinkle in her eye and enjoyed playing games with her family. She loved to dance and competed on old springboard, wooden dance floors when she was younger. She so loved travel, new adventures, and reading monuments that she was willing to go for a ride or trip with a moment's notice.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. Arva was an accomplished violinist, pianist, organist, vocalist, and choir director. She shared her faith and testimony of Jesus Christ with those around her and always encouraged others to "Just do the best you can." Ever proud of her pioneer ancestry, she said her greatest joy in life was her family.
Arva Deborah Wing Bone died 20 September 2006 in Orem, Utah, at age 93, and is buried at Lehi City Cemetery, Plot: 19-5-4, Lehi, Utah County, Utah. She is finally reunited with her sweetheart, George, who passed away on 31 December 1979.
