He went out on the Lexington Alarm for 20 days and afterwards served from 8 May to 18 Dec. 1775 in the 6th Co., 3rd Regt. Conn. Line, commanded by Colonel Israel Putnam. He was on a list of the polls of the First Church Society, Colchester, with his brother Peter in 1787.
