Abraham Preegorman (known as Abraham Fryer) seems to be the son of Asher Fryer of Russia and Chicago. Abraham gave Belogorodka as his birthplace, thus making it likely that Asher and his family are related somehow to Charles and Mary Fryer of Muscatine, IA and Rock Island, IL. For now, I am hypothesizing that Asher is the brother of Charles Fryer. However Asher's father's name was Jacob (see below) and Charles' father's name was Gottschalk (Gece). It's possible that Gottschalk and Jacob are the same although the usual Hebrew name that co-occurs with Gottschalk is Eliyakim, sometimes Shaltiel.
Abraham appears in 1900 census in Asher's household but in 1900 Abraham and Rose Schneider (man) of Milwaukee, WI had a daughter Otilia M. (also shows up as Lillie), so this needs to be explained.
Born either March 1850 or 1843 in Russia. Age on U.S. Census varies. Arrived to the U.S. in 1890. Appears in the 1900 and 1910 Census in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
