About Augustine Van Donck II
In the Hackensack Ref Ch record of their marriage and banns, they were: Augustyn Van Donk, y.m. and Rachel Matthyse, y.d., both lived Bergen County.
Augustyn Van Donck, yeoman, purchased 26 Apr 1744 part of Lot No. 6 of the Kakiat Patent ("Dunktown & Overbrook") from Maria Flierboom Kiserike Crom (widow of Rynier Kiserike) and her husband, Wilhelmus Crom.
Augustyn Van Donk lived in a small frame house on the East side of River Vale Road, south of what is now ClevelandAvenue. He was taxed for 145 acres and cattle in 1779.
Augustine Van Donk died leaving a will dated 4 June 1774; proved 4 June 1793. In it he mentioned his wife, Rachel, and left (after her death) parcels of land to daus Sophia and Annatye (and their heirs and assigns), and grandchildren (ch. of son Augustine, deceased) John, Augustine, Lewis, and Rachel.

Note that Jan Crommel’s wife's name was Lena Matthiassen, perhaps a sister to Rachel. Also note that Maria Mattyse m.Louwies Claesien (Lewis Claessen); she may have been a sister to Rachel.
