Badri Prasad Shukul

Badri Prashad Shukul was a very important person of his times. A Gold Medalist From Allahabad University, he was the first Indian to be a Commissioned Police Officer of British India. A staunch disciplinarian, an accomplished sportsman and a single minded person made him a person to reckon with. He was a self made person. After retirement he settled in Jabalpur where he made his own house in Wright Town. His eldest Son Rama Shukul joined the film industry and was the contrmporary of Dada Moni and a fast friend of K.L Saigal. His family is settled in Mumbai. The elder daughter Kishori was married to the Maharaja of Basti ( currently known as siddharth nagar). Other daughters were married to illustrious Kanyakubja families. The youngest son Vijay Shankar Shukul retired from Indian Forest Service and is settled in Jabalpur in the ancestral house.
