Bagdad Khatun - d.1335

Bagdad Katun (also Baghdad Khatun) (died November 16, 1335) was a Chobanid princess that gained a position of prominence in the closing years of the Ilkhanate. She was a daughter of Coban. Bagdad Katun was first married to Hasan Buzurg, the future founder of the Jalayirid dynasty, in 1323. Shortly after, she caught the attention of Ilkhan Abu Sa'id, who became infatuated with her despite her marital status; this did not please Coban. Abu Sa'id compelled Hasan Buzurg to divorce her in 1325, then married her himself. She gained influence over the Ilkhan, attaining the position of Kodavandgar (great lord). Using her power, she prevented the marriage of Coban's widow Korducin to Ghiyath ud-Din of Herat, who had murdered her father in 1327. She also managed to gain respectful treatment of her stepmother Sati Beg and Sati's son Surgan. During her marriage with Abu Sa'id, various rumors of her participation in conspiracies against the Ilkhan emerged. Speculation that she plotted with Hasan Buzurg in 1331 and 1332 were dismissed but not forgotten. When Abu Sa'id died, it was believed by some that she was behind the death. Whether she had him killed or not remains a mystery; in any case, she was charged with his murder by Arpa Ke'un, and was furthermore accused of inviting Ozbek Khan of the Golden Horde to invade Persia. She was executed by Arpa in 1335.

During the early 14th century, Amir Chupan served under three successive Ilkhans, beginning with Ghazan Mahmud. A military commander of note, Chupan quickly gained a degree of influence over the Ilkhans and married several members of the line of Hulagu Khan. His power fueled resentment among the nobility, who conspired against him in 1319 but failed. The Ilkhan Abu Sa'id, however, also disliked Chupan's influence and successfully eliminated him from court. He fled in 1327 to Herat, where the Kartids executed him. Several of his sons fled to the Golden Horde or the Mamluks of Egypt while others were killed. Baghdad Khatun[edit] Main article: Bagdad Katun The Chobanids were not completely wiped out from Persia. A daughter of Chupan's, Baghdad Katun, had caught the eye of Abu Sa'id. During Chupan's lifetime, she had been married to Hasan Buzurg, the future founder of the Jalayirids, but after Chupan fled Hasan Buzurg divorced her, and she married Abu Sa'id. She quickly gained influence over the Ilkhan and exercised the wide powers given to her. She was alleged (but never proven) to have been involved in any conspiracies against the Ilkhan, but was believed by some to have caused Abu Sa'id's death in 1335. Abu Sa'id's successor Arpa Ke'un executed her.

بغداد خاتون،

بغداد خاتون دختر امیرالامرا امیر چوبان ] /چوپان [ و خواهرزادة ابوسعید ایلخانی (حك: 717ـ736). در723 به همسری امیر حسن جلایری مشهور به شیخ حسن بزرگ در آمد. در725 ابوسعید با استناد به یاسای چنگیز كه بر طبق آن «اگر خاتونی پادشاه را پسند افتاد باید شوهرش به طیب نفس ترك او بگوید و او را به حرم پادشاه فرستد» سعی كرد شیخ حسن را به طلاق بغدادخاتون وادارد تا خود بتواند او را به عقد خویش دربیاورد ولی امیر چوپان مانع شد. در ذیحجة 727 یا محرم 728 امیر چوپان به تحریك ابوسعید و بهدست غیاثالدین كرت خائنانه در هرات به هلاكت رسید و ابوسعید موفق شد نیت خود را عملی سازد و بغداد خاتون را به همسری خود درآورد. پس از آن بغداد خاتون چنان نفوذ عظیمی كسب كرد كه لقب «خواندگار» (خداوندگار) گرفت. در 732 شیخ حسن متهم به همكاری با همسر سابق خود بغداد خاتون برای قتل ابوسعید شد این مسئله كدورت و نفاقی میان ابوسعید و بغداد خاتون به وجود آورد ولی سال بعد چون ثابت شد كه این اتهام دروغ بوده دوباره ابوسعید با او بر سر لطف آمد. در 734 ابوسعید دلشاد خاتون برادرزادة بغدادخاتون را به همسری برگزید و او را بر دیگر زنان خود برتری داد این كار حسادت بغدادخاتون را برانگیخت و هنگامی كه ابوسعید ناگهان در سیزده ربی عالثانی 736 درگذشت بغدادخاتون كه مظنون و متهم به مسموم كردن او بود به فرمان امرای ابوسعید كشته شد. بر اساس روایت دیگری قتل او به سبب مكاتبه با ازبك خان اردوی زرین * و تشویق او به تصرف ایران بوده است. منابع: ابنبطوطه تحفة النظار فی غرائب الامصار و عجائب الاسفار المعروفة برحلة ابنبطوطه چاپ دفرمری و سانگینتی پاریس 1853ـ1858 ج2 ص117 به بعد تاریخ شیخ اویس چاپ فان لون لاهه 1954 ص57 59 عبداللهبن لطفالله حافظ ابرو ذیل جامع التواریخ رشیدی چاپ خانبابا بیانی تهران 1317ش فهرست عباس عزاوی تاریخ العراق بین احتلالین بغداد.

بغداد دخت چوپان همچنین شهرت‌یافته به بغداد خاتون (؟ - ۱۳۳۵م) شاهدخت خاندان چوپانی، همسر ابوسعید و ملکه همسر بود. او را از بزرگترین درباریان روزگارش در ایران دانسته‌اند که صاحب اختیار کلی و جزئی امور شد و سخنانش بسیار نفوذ عظیم و سریعی داشت. پس از درگذشت ابوسعید در سال ۷۳۶ق متهم شد که به انتقام خون پدر و برادرش سلطان ابوسعید را مسموم کرده و کشته است و لذا به طور مخفیانه در حمام توسط خواجه حرمسرا اعدام شد. https://fa.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%A8%D8%BA%D8%AF%D8%A7%D8%AF_%D8%AE...
