Barbara E. Sauer 94 St. Cloud March 31, 2005

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Barbara E. Sauer, age 94, of St. Cloud, who died Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Luke Steiner, O.S.B. will officiate and burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Rice. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Barbara was born April 10, 1910 in Burlington, ND to Thaddeus & Amelia (Schneider) Sauer. She grew up in Rice and lived in Central Minnesota all her life. Barbara was a housekeeper for Msgr. Francis Zitur from 1942 until his death in 1962. After his death she worked at J.C. Penney until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Survivors include her brothers and sister, Claude (Eileen) Sauer of Rapid City, SD, Lawrence Sauer of Staples, and Rose Dullinger of Rockville; sisters in law, Arlene Sauer of Rice and Lucille Sauer of Little Falls; and many nieces and nephews, especially Francis & Kaye Sauer of Sauk Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Sauer, Mathilda Fiedler, and Angela Janski; and brothers, William, Joseph, and Philip Sauer.
