The only son listed in the Genealogy is Christian Barentsen who was born in Hoorn "Holland" and married in 4/20/1647 in Amsterdam "Holland" Netherlands.

e De achternaam is echt VAN HORN maar wij praten hier over 1625 en in de gegevens staat echt als voornaam "Barent" en zoals in de tijd werd geschreven om verwarring te voorkomen. Barent was een zoon van Barent van Horn en daarom moet men het als volgt lezen:

Barent Barentszoon (zn) dus: Barent zoon van Barent VAN HORN dit was om verwarring te voorkomen in de Familie er zullen nog wel meer kinderen geweest zijn b.v. Jan en die vind je dan als Jan Barentzn VAN HORN. De Barent VAN HORN die in 1625 te Haarlem huwde is dus een zoon van Barent VAN HORN. Ja, altijd even puzzelen met die oude akten maar daardoor weet men wel of men de juiste te pakken heeft.

Het is bij toeval dat Barent Christianzn VAN HORN (deze Barent was dus een zoon van Christian VAN HORN (2 geslachten verder) in Hoorn (West-Friesland) huwde.
