WHO CAME TO ENGLAND WITH WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR

1066-1620

Thomas De Wahull.

This feudal lord was summoned to Parliament as a Baron, 26, Jan. 1297, in the 25th, year of Edward I. He died in 1304 seized of the Barony of Wahull, as also of the Manor of Wahull in County Bedford, and Pateshull in Northamptonshire, leaving by his wife Hawise, daughter of Henry Praers, an infant son and heir John De Wahull, who although possessing the honors of Wahull had no similar summons to Parliament, nor had any of his descendants.

He died in the 10th, year of the reign of Edward III. (1337), leaving by Isabella, his wife, two sons, first John (Sir) whose line terminated in heiresses, his granddaughters, Elizabeth and Eleanor, who both d. s. p.
