About Bartholomeus Hendrickse Vrooman
He arrived in New Amsterdam on april 17,1664 aboard the d'Eendracht.
Killed ("kild and burnt") along with his father, "Hend. Meese," in the Schenectady Masacre. The Vroomans lived on the north side of State Street where the New York Central Railway crosses. This was outside the stockade. Two Negroes belonging to the Vroomans were also killed.
