Bartholomew Durrett - b. ca. 1698 -  d - 1762 Albemarle, Va first showed up in 1737/38 when he purchased 268 Acres in Hanover County (now Albemarle).  We do not know when and where he was born, or how he arrived here (by birth or ship), we don't know his wife's name or when they were married.  His will was destroyed in the Hanover Courthouse fire burned by Cornwallis during Rev War.  We know some of his children who were minors at the time of his death.  (By Dina "Dinah" (Durrett) Beattie, my pedigree.)
