Beatrix Hendrina Smit

Death notice of Christoffel Christiaan Smit, born on Schaapplaats district Malmesbury. The death notice says they had no children.

In their testament dated 23 April 1919 they bequeath their farm Kruispad, district Malmesbury, to Johannes Andreas Truter, brother of Beatrix Hendrina, on the condition that it will go to him after the death of both of them. In 1921 they add a codicil to the testament to state that if Johannes Andreas Truter should die before the two of them, the farm should go to his legal descendants.

Also a letter from the Afrikaanse Onderlinge Voogdy-en Assuransie Maatskappy Beperk date 21 July 1954 stating that the farm Kruispad is to be sold by auction. Valuation of the farm at the time was 8815 pounds
