Bella Anderson was a stenographer for United States Steel Corp, Clairton, Pa. . Bella fell in love with her boss, Hobart Seyler. After an eighteen year affair, they were married about 1938, after Hobart sold a patent for coke processing to Canada. During their courtship, Bella and Hobart travelled to New York and Havana Cuba. After their marriage, US Steel housed the newlyweds in a beautiful home in Clairton, known to the family as the "White House". The couple produced no children, but Bella was always generous to her nieces, Marjorie Phyllis, and Shirley Ann Teets.
