Benediktas Černiauskas

Benediktas (b. 1880) immigrated to the USA in 1912. He left from Rotterdam, arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and entered the USA thru St. Albins, Vermont enroute to his brother of George (b. 1884) in Chicago at 4458 South Wood St. Also in Chicago was brother Augustinas. Benediktas was living with Augustinas and his family in 1918 (WWII Draft card) and 1920 Census. Augustinas and Benediktas both died in 1928--young men.

1920 Census shows "Bennie" living with his brother and brother's family at 4451 S. Wood. It lists his arrival to the US as 1912 and his occupation as Laborer in the Chicago Stockyards which were nearby to 4451 S. Wood.
