Biography

Benjamin Chadwick married Elizabeth Green in Falmouth, Barnstable County, (then) Province of Massachusetts Bay on 31 Jan 1722/3.[1] Their daughter Sarah was born in Falmouth in November of 1723, and their son James in July 1725. Benjamin's will was written in Barnstable on 8 Feb 1775, and it was proved there on 15 May 1775.[2] In his will he makes provisions for his wife Elisabeth, and makes a bequest to his daughter Sarah Church, and gives his "Indian girl Bee" her time. He gives his son James his real and personal estate, and names James as his executor. Benjamin's estate was inventoried on 19 May 1804, and administration of his estate was granted to Jonathan Hatch for the unadministered estate of Benjamin Chadwick.[3] By this time, Benjamin's widow had died, as well as both of his children.
