BIRTH: Benjamin Hiskett born in Virginia - mother's maiden name was Lizzie James (Iames) she had another son and a daughter and all 3 children were small at the time of her death. Her husband married again and raised a large family of children by the 2nd marriage, more daughters than sons.
HISTORY: Benjamin and Catherine lived in Loundoun Co., Virginia several years, purchased a farm in Jefferson Co., and lived there until 1824 when they moved back to the farm in Loudoun Co. They lived in Loudoun Co., until Benjamin's death, after which Catherine moved back to Jefferson Co. She lived in Jefferson with her son Everett until her death.
RELIGION: They were life long members of the Baptist Church where Benjamin was a Deacon
DEATH: one family history says that Benjamin's death date was verified by newspaper notices and estate settlement
