Society of Friends, Carlow Monthly Meeting, 1607-1860, p.29, FHL #571395 gives Benjamin Johnson's birth date as, 1707 5 mo. 31d, (old style date) son of Robert & Marg, parents abode, Coolboy. PROBATE: York County, Pennsylvania Wills 1763-1770, Vol. 2 b, FHL #0022131: Be it Remembered that I Benjamin Johnson of the Township of Fawn in the County of York and Province of Pensylvania Yeoman Being Mindfull of my Mortality Doth make this my Last Will and Testament in Mannor following that is to Say Touching such worldly goods as it hathe Pleased God in this Life to Bless me with I give and Dispose of in the following Mannor and form, Impr. I order that all my just Debts and funeral Charges be fully paid Except Sundry Bonds lying in the hands of my Son Caleb Johnson all of which I have fully paid Already. Item I give and Devise to my Loving wife Mary Johnson the Sum of Ten pounds Yearly and every Year During her Natural Life Together with a Feather Bed and Bedding . . . . Item I give and Devise to my Son Caleb the Sum of sixty Pounds on condition that he Delivers unto my Sons Ephraim & Jacob a Receipt from Robert Johnson of the like Sum. Item I give and Devise to my Daughter Ann the Sum of forty Pounds Item I give and Devise to my Son Abel the Sum of twenty five pounds on Condition that he makes Over to my Sons Ephraim and Jacob that piece of Land Known by the Name of the Stump of the Pipe. Item I give and Devis to my Sons Ephraim and Jacob all my Lands and Tenement goods and Chattels to hold the Same in joynt Partnership by them their Heirs or Assigners forever But in Case the Cannot agree then it is to be Equally Divided Between them and I do hereby nominate and appoint my Sons Ephraim Johnson and Jacob Johnson to be my Executors of this my Last Will . . . I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this twentyeth Day of April one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy.
