Benjamin was in New York in 1723 serving as a Reverend and a yeoman (farmer). He enlisted in Cat. Nathaniel Hyatt's Company of West in Apr 1758. In 1776 he was a member of the West Chester company committee of safety from White Plains, NLY., West Chester County Militia. In 1775, he joined the minutemen, West Chester County, White Plains. He was a delegate to the provincial congress which met in White Plains, 1776. He voted approval for the signing of the Declaration of Independence. He was a member of Lt. Col. Joseph Benedict's Regiment of "Association Exempts". His birthday may be 7 Mar 1733. His will was probated in White Plains, NY on 22 January 1823. Benjamin was buried at Presbyterian Church Yard, White Plains, NY.
