Benjamin Moody

Benjamin was one of the early proprietors of Narrangansett No. 1, which is now Buxton, Maine. Proprietors were engaged to furnish surveys and make improvements, such as building roads for the settlers of the area. Although Benjamin has land holdings in Narrangansett No. 1, he resided in Newbury, MA. The proprietors' meetings were often held at Capt Joseph Hale's Inn in Newbury.
